In May 2012 I started a blog. It got to four posts and stopped in October the same year. It's still up at blog.yprez.com, mostly for history. This is my second attempt. I'll try to be more consistent this time.

I build software: products, and services for clients. Recently we started a small company, and it's slowly growing. I plan to write mostly about that.

I might not be very good at writing, but I want to improve, and this is my way of practicing. Hopefully some useful content comes out of it along the way.

Platforms shut down, change their terms or hide posts from search engines. So I want this blog on the open web, on my own domain.

How it's made

The first blog ran on Pelican, a Python static site generator, with content in reStructuredText and its source on GitHub.

This one is a small custom Python build: Markdown files, Jinja templates, plain HTML out, hosted on GitHub Pages. It works without JavaScript and sets no cookies. Every page passes HTML validation before it deploys.

I use AI to research, draft, edit, review and check every claim against its source.

Let's see if this blog gets past four posts.
