- Backend development lead for a consumer health product: the platform behind a wearable sensor and its app, down to firmware update delivery.
- Backend work on a cryptocurrency exchange.
- Integrating data-analysis algorithms into the production backend.
- Machine learning model integration: PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras and scikit-learn time-series models, served in production behind one API.
- A standalone authentication service: OAuth login for third-party apps, rate limiting.
- Internal dashboards for support, admin, and reporting: live updates over SSE, PDF export, field-level encryption, 2FA.
- Data pipelines and reporting: MongoDB aggregation pipelines, BigQuery.
- Cloud infrastructure across Heroku and Google Cloud: Terraform, Docker, CI/CD.
- Load testing and capacity work: k6 scenarios, baselines before and after performance changes.
- Test suites and the release discipline a medical device requires: formal verification and validation, software design documents, security documentation, SBOM generation and vulnerability scanning.

### Senior Software Engineer, Tripp Lite

Worked on the software layer of smart UPSs and PDUs.

- Designed and built backend microservices in Python.
- Network and system configuration, security, authentication and authorization, logging, monitoring, notifications, a CLI client and APIs.

- Automated the configuration of the Linux server's network interfaces.

### Technical Co-Founder, inboundli

2014 – 2018

inboundli was a content curation platform: automated content search, personalization and distribution, with machine-learning recommendations, built to help companies multiply their content output on their key marketing channels.

- Built the platform end to end, from the first line of code to a self-sustaining SaaS business.
- Led R&D and much of the product work.
- Specification, development and maintenance of the entire SaaS platform and its services.
- Machine learning for content recommendations, and the data analysis behind it.
- A 300GB PostgreSQL database: performance optimization and tuning.
- Continuous integration and deployment workflows.
- It started in 2014 as Townfrog, an app for discovering events and places, and pivoted within months.
- Also built appenguin (2017 – 2018), a generator that turned websites into Android apps (Kotlin, Python).

### Backend Developer, Tomigo

2013

Built the backend infrastructure for Tomigo's social recruiting platform.

- Developed the backend application.
- Built a REST API for the mobile and web clients.
- Built a notification system: email notifications, periodic emails, and push notifications for the mobile apps.
- Deployed and maintained the Linux server stack.
